Re: What do you say about "The Moon in the Gutter"...

This lasted a fortnight on the film circuit in my hometown when Beneixs Diva had played for months; just long enough for me to catch it on the big screen, and I was quite disappointed
Depardieu is violent and amoral, OK it shows he can play any role
Just thought it wasnt cohesive enough to work as a film and made the mistake of seeing it again on video a few months back and disliked it all over again
Granted, Kinski is gorgeous and there are a handful of scenes that are both artistic and memorable, but not enough to salvage this film
Diva is similarly pretentious but enjoyable, and Betty Blue somewhere inbetween, but I wouldnt recommend Moon in the Gutter
