RE: 'Guardians, Vol. 3': Kinda weird . . .

Posted by Steve O on May 6, 2023 at 21:24:17:

A few of the reviews I've read say that far too much time is spent on CGI raccoon torture that wasn't necessary to get the backstory told. An audio based review I heard yesterday referred to some audience reaction to this film that indicates "superhero" fatigue may be setting in . . . And yet the RT audience rating is 95%. vs reviewer rating of 81%. I've been a mildly enthusiastic fan of GOTG 1&2. From what I've read and heard so far, I'm less enthusiastic about this one and am inclined to take a pass on it. We'll see.
