"Dune: Part Two" announced for a Nov 3rd opening

Posted by free.ranger on May 4, 2023 at 07:16:25:

In today's LA Times (blocked; cannot link) is a trailer and description of this sequel.

Same cast with some new inclusions. Same costars Chalamet and Zendaya; same director Denis Villeneuve. Part One covered the first two-thirds of Herbert's novel; this last piece is said to be more intense. Zendaya got little screen time in Part One, but was used prominently in the pre-release publicity tours. Fans cried not fair, so Villeneuve said he fixed that in Part Two.

Part One was released in Oct 2021, and raked in six Oscars from ten nominations during pandemic time.
