'Rust' drew my attention to the gun play . . .

Posted by Billy Wonka on April 12, 2023 at 21:08:37:

I noticed that not one gun was actually fired. It was all CGI and sound editing done to near perfection. How else could they be running around shooting each other point-blank? A few of them didn't quite measure up but the overall work was excellent.

Then I got to thinking about the traffic circle riot on the way to the church. How much CGI was there? How many cars were real? Was the "Arc de" real or just a backdrop? There was too much close-call stuff for actors or stunt people.

The whole film could have been green-screen.
