Criterion is streaming thirty of his films currently. I had seen most, but rewatched many. Now have seen thirty-four of his films and would be hard pressed to choose his best. Certainly the ones already mentioned in this thread, like Farewell My Lovely and The Lusty Men, rank near the top.

Night of the Hunter and Ryan's Daughter really showcase his range. Interestingly, both films were met with harsh criticism when first shown, yet have soared in appreciation in recent years.
