RE: Rooting for Joker

I think he is probably a lovk to win but I.must say DiCaprio was very good in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in a multi layered performance. Not as flash but one of his best performances.

Also the young boy in JoJo Rabbit probably should have been nominated. Carrying a film, arguably, to a best picture nod where he is basically the entire film from his perspective on the world is no small task...and he was very good. Being young shouldn't count against him.

I like Pheonix and all but the big showy performance always seem just a bit easier than what DiCaprio was doing. But hey actors vote on this stuff so they probably know best.
