RE: Elekit TU-8200- won't play music

Posted by Bartguy on May 12, 2016 at 20:04:03:

Thanks for your help, Victor. I took the amp apart and reheated all the solder connections between units 4 & 5, paying special attention to all the CN connectors. I didn't see any glaring solder issues — maybe one light solder on the solders between the boards and just maybe a solder bridge between two of the close pins on the 40 pin connector which I desoldered and re-soldered. I made sure to really tighten down the M5 flange nuts on the speaker posts since it seems like that's a physical connection. I sent a picture of unit 4 with my solders.

When I turned it on again, I still have the LED and tubes lit, but no music. It sounded like for a moment I had an intermittent signal, kind of static-y, but then nothing. No music. I hear more transient pops now when I change the input, but that's about it.

Any other ideas are welcomed. Thanks. Mike 415-3057703
