The Player has a cheap feel to it. The face is aluminuim but very thin backed with plastic. The remote does not feel as cheap as the unit it self. Redbook player is terrible it is very harsh on most mateiral. So much so I never listened to a complete CD. SA CD and DVD-A on the other hand sounded smooth and natural. I had some problems with vibration in the tranport. It was easily remedied with a little dynamat on the transport and the case it self. I have seen it selling for as little as $98.00 now. I paid over $379.00, at $98.00 it is a steal. I also upgraded the power cord with a PS Audio C7 power cord.It made a huge difference in the over all sound of the player! I give it four stars as a hi def player, and two stars as a redbook player. If you have a good redbook player this is a cheap way to get into SACD and DVD-A.

Product Weakness: Redbook
Product Strengths: SA CD & DVD-A playback
