Re: Audio Note DAC only for tube gear?????? FRUSTRATION.

Posted by Paul-D on November 29, 2004 at 07:29:08:

Hi John,

Probably it is me, but I had 2 encounters with tubes, and they both ended me getting rid of the tube equipment, the first the AA Capitole for several reasons, and the other a tube preamp. I could not live with the ever changing sound of tubes, at a time you feel its sounds right, and the next day tube wear kicks in. I admire the people who can live with it.

Now I use a simple Audio Note CDT0 transport in a Levinson 360S DAC with good results, but no tubes here.

BTW, we moved from Istanbul to Mumbai,

Paul
