JVC XL-Z1050 (any review links or scans of printed reviews?)

Hi all,
I am interested to hear from anyone owning a JVC XL-Z1050 CD player.
Also I am interested to know if anyone knows of any web-links or reviews of this machine, or if anyone has any scans of printed reviews.
I bought the XL-Z1050 in the UK in 1993, and only compared it to an Arcam Alpha at the time (there was not a whole lot of good machines around at the time within my budget). I paid 400 GBP for the machine, and have generally been very happy with the machine.
I still find that the machine sounds good, compared to brief listens to contemporary machines like eg Arcam CD-82. (Have not really had a chance to listen very closely to an new contemporary machine with stuff like a 24bit DAC with up-sampling etc..)
Unfortunately I am stuck with the JVC, due to my current circumstances not allowing for any upgrade (married, etc....).
I would describe the sound of the XL-Z1050, as laid back (good cos helps prevent listener fatigue), with good bass, and smooth mid-range. Only criticism would be that the treble, lacks some "air".
Rest of my ancient system is Linn LP12 Valhalla/Akito/Nagaoka-Stilton TS12-Boron, A&R Cambridge A60 amplifier, and some NAD 2-way reflex standmount speakers.
Looking forward to hearing from anyone who has the XL-Z1050.
TIA
Rav
