Hi jai,
Here are my suggestions to upgrade the AudioNote DAC 1.1:
1) Replace the AD1855N-J by AD1865N-K (highest selection grade)
2) Replace output caps by AudioNote copper foil in oil (very nice indeed)
3) Try my interface at the DAC side with the AD8561(see link)
4) Change PLL loopfilter to Wildmonkeysects mod.

5) If you can get hold of the CS8412 install it in place of the CS8414. The CS8412 sounds better on Redbook CD's.
6) supply the PLL (V-analog) of the CS8412 from the low noise analog supply.
