DAC ratings?

I see various DAC's in CD players, receivers and processors by
Burr-Brown, Crystal, AVK, etc. In my search for a new preamp with a good DAC, I have been asking manufacturers which DAC's are in their processor. (However, it doesn't tell me the value or quality of the DAC.)
Does anyone have a list of what's better than what? A ratings list so to speak?
