I use the original software to convert the dsd files created and modify them to PCM files.
This gives me the options to play either in DSD or PCM.
It also lets me burn a CD for playback on my CD player.
The unit can store the music as PCM files which you can modify with the free software, so I guess you could use it to modify any PCM files from downloads you made from streaming.
I haven't downloaded the newer software version yet.
I've had success with the older version.
Give it a try and post your results or comments.
