One is in hand now, being used as the front-end to an Yggdrasil DAC.

Better than what? Better than its own SPDIF output? It's own AES output?
Heck, I don't know, life is too short to worry about trivialities.
I do know that I really like what I am hearing from CDs, and Roon streams through it grandly.
