RE: Need to replace my dead Philips CD-880, looking for suggestions

Posted by digepix on July 27, 2017 at 08:45:24:

The CD 6006 from Marantz may be a good fit. They talk about ripping software to a computer but that's not for everyone. I'm sure there will come a time when the next cd player will fail and you're not able to find a replacement but that time isn't now. I have a usb dac that I bought years ago, a Scott Nixon. I started to rip cd's with the thought of getting rid of my cd player. After a few cd's I thought this is for the birds and if my cd players fail (6) I'll consider trying again. Today I use my usb dac to stream stuff like Spotify or Jazz24 and still play cd's. Good luck whatever you decide.
