The only hard-fact you gave was the 2L recordings. Helpful. But we need a few more than that ! It's not nice of Meridian to leave us fending for ourselves. They could do more.
But this point is extraneous -you take things hard, esp. with new audio formats. In defense of audiophiles, didn't they embrace SACD ? They did, with no hard words, for years after it came out.
Then titles-available became an issue, then CD-sound improved (putting the new format in question), then how many were true DSD sources, etc.
SACD titles offer some great music, no question. And it's not a failure -it's still around. We just don't want another SACD-scenerio, that's all...
