The DPA 4006 microphones used in some Channel Classics recordings are down about -6 dB at 40 kHz.
I have a set of recordings of late Beethoven quartets by the Cypress quartet that were made with Sanken CO-100K microphones. These microphones have response to 100 kHz, although not on this recording which is limited by a sampling rate of 96 kHz.
