manual says it plays CDA, MP3, and WMA. Haven't compared with Saturn but I feel Apollo is a real breakthrough. I believe the Stereophile review says you'll need good electronics to hear the difference between Apollo and Saturn(but perhaps that is obvious),
and it said Rega's own Brio did not show much difference, but I think
the Brio is an entry level integrated amp. One thing I like about
the Apollo is that bad recording quality still sounds bad, but you
are getting so much more of the picture, that I don't go rushing to
change disks or turn down the volume. There's just more of the recording to enjoy besides the 'harsh brightness' that was about the only thing you heard with other players.
