Re: Help-confused about CD's

Posted by FF on June 17, 2006 at 18:02:01:

I've used many a MoFi blank & in digital copying a clone is not always a clone, some cd recorders such as sony's dual-well allow u to make a copy & increase or decrease the levels which IS useful or olders cds whose mastering level was low, also adding SBM super-bit-mapping to analog copies MAY cause a varying degree in brightness etc...
As for Mofi blanks they're just OK 1st,they're 74 min run-time isn't great vs 80min standards 2nd they really aren't much better than say TDK,Max,Fuji etc & they cost more to boot AND labeling them is a chore with only readability on the clear inside spine...........
The Marantz recorder U have I believe is A Pro model allowing U to use Computer/ Data blanks which are cheaper than Music only CD-r's.............
