Infinite Slope crossovers: Biwire or single wire?

Posted by carbonman on April 24, 2002 at 12:47:49:

I have a pair of RM25si's that have 25 foot lengths of Kimber 8PR divided for biwiring hooked up to a big old Mcintosh MC7270 amp. I'm
considering making up a set of JR 89259 speaker cables as an upgrade.
My question is: Will I have different sound quality from a biwire configuration by going to a single wire cable, considering the extremely steep
slopes and type of circuit in the Joseph Audio speakers? I understand that the RM33si is not biwireable, and it sounds great!
When I've installed the shorting bars or made new straps from wire, I haven't noticed any obvious difference. I don't want to spend the money for
an additional 100 feet of 89259 if I won't get an appreciable benefit.
All opinions/observations gratefully accepted.

Cheers,

Graham
