This probably a silly question...but...

I've recently been kicking around some new cabling. And I know that none of this is new...but I never really thought about it before....
I know that there are several makers out there building various cables with fluid as dampening (Purist as well as others come to mind). Indeed, most of which are priced WELL beyond what I am willing to pay for a cable....so this is all just curiousity.
But, how are we doing this? Are we actually encapsulating the cable inside a sealed envelope? And if so...how? And at what point does the seal deteriorate and whatever this fluid is destroys your floor?
If this whole line of thought is way out in the weeds, I'll not be surprised. as I said...I've just never stopped to think about all this before now. So take your best shot.
