RE: Taiwan RCA plugs - help please!

While the Star Line product has been available for quite some time now, there is little talk about how it sounds nor anything about its durability for DIY projects. Perhaps it's a poor quality knock-off of the Eichmann Bullet Plug, or it might be a decent sounding clone for the money. One report claimed it sounded okay but not as good as the Bullet Plug, while another report said its performance is no better than a typical cheap rca connector. I suggest asking your friend about the other rca connectors he may have compared it to, and why he preferred the Star Line product. If you seek a warmer sound vs. silver, I suggest the gold plated version rather than the silver plated or rhodium plated versions. If you wish to experiment with the connector, the direct gold plated version sold by Valab is likely the best bet to commit to a purchase.
