Within 15 years.. Might you need 9 ft cables???

Posted by 3+4=5 on April 7, 2017 at 14:39:04:

I always think longer is better, just because two inches too short down the road.. is useless. three feet too long is usually not a big problem.
Back when I was young and foolish, I would make IC cable which fit, exactly. IDIOT! The first time I had to move stuff around.. Gee, I have to get some more cables.
Anyway, now I universally buy 1.5 meter IC. so they will FIT, forever. I do not care at all they are a little too long. It DOES NOT MATTER in the long run.
Being too damn short though Yes it matters on that day you discover you new setup is screwed due to too short a cable.
Rant ended.

Added: one plus is you might want to place the amp to one side, instead of in between. The 9' cables might allow this.
