Have audiodharma Ethernet adapter, will travel

Stop dithering. If you do not possess, or have access to, a proper cable burn-in device, what are you waiting for? Without such a device, you are only getting a small fraction of what your cables can do.

With all of its adapters, the audiodharma Cable Cooker is the most versatile product of its kind. We now have their Ethernet adapter, which, if you have been following my blog, you know goes even further than generic adapters.

People use Ethernet cables between router or wall outlets and computers, streaming devices, and satellite TV receivers.

We have Cooked over 50 Ethernet cables, mostly the computer types which come with gear. Most of these belong to non-audiophiles. Thus, their comments predominantly are in regards to video, not audio performance. Nevertheless, everyone sees/hears differences, and said differences are usually positive, not negative or quid pro quo.

If you properly treat your Ethernet cables on the Cable Cooker, you may be pleasantly surprised, at (a) how well they pass signal, and (b) just how good digital transmissions are. For example, guest after guest is shocked at the fidelity "lowly" MP3/4 streams can attain. Internet radio often comes in more cleanly than AM/FM. And sound quality from the better stations fools you into thinking it's not, well, MP3. Everyone is astounded that MP3 really can do tight bass, soundstage dimensions, and image specificity.

And if you have or use higher-rez computer audio, you just may flip out, at how damn good this all is.

Many after-market Ethernet cables are under $100. Get them Cooked, and you'll be glad you did not spend thousands, like you did with powercords, line-level interconnects, tonearm cables, coaxial/video cables, and speaker cables.
