I have a similar situation. I have xlr balanced outs (and single ended) on my DAC, but single ended connections only on my preamp.
I have them connected by single ended interconnect at the moment, but have a better quality balanced cable in the cupboard gathering dust.
Would there be any advantage or disadvantage in using the balanced cables out of the DAC and using XLR to RCA adapters into the preamp?
