I owned both

I used to own the Chimera Labs Advantage II ICs. Ran 2 pair between cd and pre and pre and amp. Very nice cable, open, dynamic with decent bass.

I replaced the Chimera with Pulsars with Nextgen RCAs. In my sytem the Pulsars were a clear step up. Better highs, Midrange more forward and preferred in my setup. Also much better bottom end and definition in the bass. Much more open sounding, lifting of the proverbial veil.

Your mileage may vary. Both are excellent examples of designs that can easily go head to head with commercial designs costing quite a bit more.

Cheers
