Picking up Radio without Tuner...Eico HF-81

I have an original Eico HF-81 that sounds great...my concern is with just a CD player hooked up to this intrgrated amp...on power up, I hear what sounds like some radio broadcast through my speakers for just a short bit until the amp settles in (30 seconds maybe?)...what could be causing this??? Leakage??? it IS a 47 year old amp but sounds so sweet I hate to tear into it if I don't need to...
