RE: PS Audio Gain Cell DAC/ Preamp & S300 Amp

Posted by JerryS on August 11, 2017 at 21:00:41:

I have been listening to the PS Audio Stellar S300 amp for about 3 weeks. Before that, a Cary 805AE amp was driving Fritzspeakers Carrera SE speakers, with a pair of JL Audio e110 subs filling in the lowest few Hertz.

The first few hours had some coarseness. Sometime after 100 hours of use, the treble has that SET purity. I'm trying to decide if the high resolution, but leaner relative harmonic balance is offset by the S300's more pinpoint soundstage.

Like I said, 3 weeks. Many visiting amps are disconnected within days. We'll see if it is still playing music in my system in another month. No pain.
