Ok here we go. I spoke with Bob today. The problem in the low voltage power supply is fixed. He has identified the left channel gain issue as a
faulty interstage film cap. I gave him the ok to fix these as well as
installing an additional pair of input rca's into the case for #1 input. The
glaring weak link (imho) in the design is that all the rca's are soldered directly
to the rear of the PCB which protrudes out of the back of the case. The
issue is that I now use High Fidelity Cables interconnects that are
extremely tight so you are playing with fire when connecting or removing.
He is also going to replace the suspect resistors that he has identified.

Again my plan is to get this home to run in for a while and then
put it up against his Rhumba 1.2 and see what is what. I will keep you guys posted.
