Well I just heard from Bob. It seems that the low voltage power
supply is the issue, the bridge rectifier as well as the cap that
feeds it. He also advised me that there are a number of resistors
that he feels are suspect. He also feels that at 9 years old that
the high voltage caps could stand a refresh.

I gave him the go ahead to fix the issue and find out why the
left channel has always been somewhat weaker than the right.
Although adjustable via the separate l/r gain controls it has always
bothered me. If this isn't a costly issue then my tactical plan is
to go ahead and do it all.

My strategic plan is to audition his Backert Labs Rhumba 1.2
straight up against the JMA Peach 2 and see what is what.

Thanks again to Hyfi and Steelhead for the guidance, I'll keep
you guys updated.
