Thanks Sgreen, both my pre and amp have captive cords on them. I have played with cables in the past and have settled on the DH Labs cables as I find these to be very neutral and relatively cheap. Cables/power cords for me are rather difficult to demo and I really find it tiresome and kind of like a cat chasing it's tail. I have yet to hear a cable that is so jaw-droppingly obvious that it is truly "better", just different, and sometimes even that is hard to say for me.

I do like my system very much, and really, if it wasn't for the convenience factor of wanting a remote control for a change, I probably wouldn't bother. But if I could find a pre with that, and get a little more bang for the buck along with it without upsetting the apple cart, I am for it! I appreciate you taking the time to post your thoughts! Tim
