I love this amp. It has 'adequate' (in the Rolls-Royce level of slang) bass and highs, and the best medium I ever heard. Fluid, clear, non-aggressive, extremely natural voices. Huge soundstage, excellent dynamic.
What I don't like is the absence of XLR inputs and the dimensions - it is bulky for a 2 x 120 W amp.
Inside? Only one 'classic transformer... but a huge one, all discrete, high quality components.
If you like the sound like I do, but don't want to spend too much, the 'Sonographe by Conrad-Johnson' SA-250 has the same kind of sound, everything being slightly less good (but already way above all these Rotel, NAD, Adcom and other entry-level amps).

Product Weakness: No XLR input, Bulky
Product Strengths: Sound, sound, sound!
