PEC pot
Posted by Paul J. on March 19, 2005 at 08:27:22:
I'm building a gainclone and I'm looking at using one of the PEC carbon pots. For now, the pot will be used as a passive pre in the same chassis. Usually 25 or 50K log tapers are used. Is it possible to use the the 1M linear law-faking in this application, or should I stick with the log taper? I know some have issues with the taper, but that doesn't really concern me. I just want to be sure the resistance is appropriate.
