Steel racking from NSF. Pictured are a couple of 5 level racks. I use them in combination with 'milk crates' from Staples. The milk crates are not a perfect dimension for the Lp size, a little tall, but work just fine. Apple or orange crates should work as well. Or something custom made. On the upper level I am storing R2R tapes. That is why the narrower gap.
Anyway, The steel NSF rack has no problem supporting this amount of weight and could hold a much greater load if need be. They are popularly used in various industries. You also see them in laboratories supporting whatever needs to be supported there. In the industrial setting you often see these with heavy caster wheels attached to the bottom of each of the four poles.
Prices vary depending on where you find these. I found mine at Walmart for around $35.00 each for the 5 tier models. They also come in chrome. For the listening room I prefer the black color which blends better with what else is in the room.
