Agreed, as long as you have an appropriate arm with decent bearings use a stethoscope to find and eliminate problem resonances (appropriate damping
of the problem areas) work out the footing and siting and careful set up.
IMHO there is no shortage of very expensive tables that are haphazardly sited, footed and set up that sound like Dog Scheiss with very expensive cartridges, It's not just about large expenditures, experience, knowledge and finesse can accomplish that which money alone cannot, IMHO a large part of the true beauty of analog audio.
