For those folks with Rega Planar 3 or 25s with the Glass platter, the felt circle could be directly stuck to the glass platter! Removing them may be a little bit messey, but should easily be done with a simpile solvent to remove any glue remaining on the platter with a quick squirt of windex for the final clean-up. I would think the nice thing about this would be that no matter how much static may or may not build up on the platter you will not be pulling anything off with the record when it is lifted off :-) (Yes, on occasion I have had the ringmat stick to a Lp when lifting it off my P25)

Anyway, directly sticking the round felt things to the platter would (I think) dampen some of the ring in the glass platter more directly than a felt mat (or any other mat) just sitting on the glass platter. I just may have to give this a try! (would probably look pretty cool too!)
