I bought three 45's in 1972. Alice Cooper's Elected, Stevie Wonder's Superstition, and David Cassidy's Rock Me Baby. For some reason I dug the Alice Cooper the most and that lead me to buy the Alice Cooper LP. Turns out I didn't even but one of his more popular titles available at the time (School's Out or Killer) and ended up with an earlier Lp that isn't normally consider his best. Since then I've been a fan for life and have purchased all his LP's (and later on CD's). Funny how three 45's could lead me to a life time of Alice Cooper fandom.
