Paid like $275 or so for it at LP Gear last year (it was on sale). Bought it to replace an awesomely great but quite used Dynavector 10x5 with my MMF-5 TT. On some aspects, it's hard for me to compare the two and determine which is "better" - for me, both are absolute champions on delivering a superior analog experience to that of lesser cartridges. What has won me over the OC9, however, is its uncompromising reduction of surface noise. Oh, and zero inner groove distortion too. If you're like me who likes to hunt for thrift stores and used LPs, this is a very welcome addition. Records that were enjoyable but annoyingly noisy in the surface with the 10x5 have turned into pure bliss with the OC9. I can recommend this cart to anyone with a MC-capable, low output phono preamp and a suitable tonearm.
