RAS, sorry for the late response.

The motor on my DPS is whisper quiet - much quieter than either my Michell Tecnodec and not much much quieter than the VPI Scout. Is the pulley touching the motor housing, if yes you can adjust that with the set screw.

The Spindle is a little stuck due to the friction bearing, but the motor doesn't need any manual help to start it. The clamp seems perfect.

Which version of the DPS do you have? You should give Willi a call - he would certainly help.
