It's wonderful news that the DPS will now get more exposure in North America, which it deserves. Thanks also for providing some insight into the development of your own power supply. I agree that steep price increase to the 3-phase power supply has been hindering the sale of the DPS 3 so far and was in fact the reason why I "only" own the 2 version. It would of course only be to future DPS owner’s advantage and mine if your new power supply indeed is close in performance to the current DPS 3 power supply. I am looking forward to hearing more about your power supply and of course would love to try one out in the near future.

It great to hear the background story on how you got to the DPS table. I have been following the development of DPS for a while: I remember visiting Willi's store in Munich long before the introduction of the DPS. His store featured a great collection of vinyl and I bought some of my first new albums there when I got into vinyl in 1993. After moving to North America, when a friend in Canada asked me which turntables to consider importing and running in his store, I instantly thought of Willi's DPS. After my friend picked up the line, I was of course easily convinced to get one for myself after all.

After owing it now for a while I complete agree about your view of the DPS. I love the aesthetics, the compact size and its performance, which competes with many high mass designs. Something else I appreciate in particular is the complete solution it presents: There is no need to worry about platforms and what to place the table on, as Willi has already thought all of that through thoroughly. Now I only have to receive my Schroeder No.2fw arm from Willi and Frank and I will be in analog heaven.

By the way, I was going to contact you directly to address some question and to clarify the above, but could not find your contact information or and email address for Ayre. I would love to get in touch with you or Steve about the DPS 3 power supply as I have some more technical questions about the final production unit.

Again, I appreciate your clear and straightforward response.
