I realize that most of the people on this forum are in their 40s or older, and that seems to be true, unfortunately, on most audiophile type forums. However I know many younger generation (20s) are into vinyl big time. My son is 24 and he and his many vinyl-phile friends encouraged me to get back into it. A lot of it is used for DJ, but they listen for their own entertainment as well. At local record stores there seem to be more vinyl sales to younger people than to my age bracket. I just overheard a young woman complaining that she couldn't afford a $3 Ella Fitzgerald album because she had blown too much of her budget on vinyl already. Clearly she wouldn't be preferring $18 CDs. My point is the ages of people here are representative of a certain group of audiophile vinyl lovers, but definitely not representative of the whole group. My son buys most stuff new, by the way, and hasn't seen any need for a record cleaning machine.
