The whole upgrade actually makes sense to me, one of the few that have in some time. Yes, some of the hype that 103's in wood bodys are taking down Myabi's and Koetsu's does add a bit to my curiosity.

I think for the money Uwe is charging, which is really nice of him by the way, it's at least worth toying with. I don't see how it would not be a substantial upgrade substituting wood for plastic. The thing that threw me over the edge was watching that video and seeing that damping material in the 103-r. Denon KNOWS something is "amiss" with the plastic body, and they are adding mass to band-aid it.

In a few weeks from now, I hope to be able to proclaim like Cosmo Kramer on Sienfeld in the Kenny Rodgers chicken episode, "It's the wood that makes it good."
