From the research I've done, CF sheets are crazy expensive as are the resins used on it, add in the fact that the designer went through at least 2 design variants and possibly more, manufacturing, supplies, set-up jigs etc and I don't feel that I've been taken.

It is tough to recoup one's investment with the limited production runs he is forced to make. I find the price fair.
