... and to the best of my recollection, here are the tables. Many were concurrent - I had up to 4 of them at any given time.
- Collaro record changer
- Presto Pirouette (bet you never heard of that one)
- H.H. Scott 710
- Kenwood KD-500
- Thorens TD-160
- Empire 398 (the first one)
- Dual 1229Q
- Well-tempered record player
- Dual 608
- VPI HW-19 Mk. III
- VPI TNT Mkl. II
- Empire 398 (the second one)*
- Lenco L78 (replinthed)
- Lenco L78 (replinthed, dual arm)*
Here are the tonearms (where not integral):
- Rek-O-Kut S-320
- Grado Laboratory Series (walnut)
- Mayware Formula IV
- Infinity Black Widow
- Eminent Technology ET-2 (had two of these)
- Rega RB-300 (rewired and tweaked)
- JMW 10.5*
- SME IIIs*
* In current use
The Lencos are by far the best tables and both the last two arms are in regular use, with the Empire 398 dedicated to 78 rpm duty. Tons of cartridges have passed through the place, and I'm just about to send a Grado Reference/ Reference to SoundSmith for retipping.
