Joe,i totally disagree with;

doing any sort of test on differences is a different kind of listening than regular listening for pleasure....OTOH the act of listening to vinyl for me yields a much greater boggie factor and emotional message than even John's recordings. the continuosness, more density of imges, greater micro-dynamic life, and much more nuanced presentation makes for (to me anyway) dramatic increase in enjoyment.
blind listening for identification purposes is fun for the challenge of it....not for how it makes me feel. music listening should not be a contest or be brain-testing...it should be fine food for the soul.....and for me vinyl does that much better than any digital i have heard.
