I have the tone arm and my TT came with a prepared armboard already cut. The SME III does not just have three holes but a full cutout to accomodate the arm in the oiginal (MDF veneer black). The arm is mounted into the slot , screws fastened and then the fine adjustment for overhang set.You probably need a template.
