Depending on the platform you have it on it may be a great improvement. The size of the screw thread is important, of course. You don't want to order 1/4-20 if it isn't that size...it seems to me we had a discussion about the sizes of those screw holes a few years back.I'll do a search and get back to you.
I've had my table on a lot of different platforms and a lot of different spikes and always liked the "snap" it gave to the sound...better attack. Right now, the plinth sits on Michael Green spikes...I loved what it sounded like with Lloyd Walker's cones, but they're too tall for my application. I've separated the plinth (box) and motor section from the top plinth with sorbothane hemispheres on PVC pipe connectors.
One of these days I have to pull it apart and take photos...Ken Willis helped me do it and after we were done THEN we thought about photos!
