Craziest idea yet for a "test" LP.

Although not really a test record, this has to be the idea of a mad-man. "Pop+Jazz=Swing" Audio Fidelity 3P-AFSD 5978

A "triple play" disc orchestrated and conducted by a well known Jazz artist, Benny Golson.

"Pop music on the right...Jazz music on the left."

1. To hear a big-band blend of Pop and Jazz, adjust stereo controls for full or normal stereo playback.
2. To create a Pop musical concert, adjust controls so that the left stereo channel is heard alone.
3. For a Jazz party, adjust controls so that only the right stereo channel is heard.
4. By means of increasing or decreasing the relative volume of the left or right channels, a continuously variable transition from all-Pop to all-Jazz music is possible.

Jeezo! With Freddie Hubbard, Bill Evans, Curtis Fuller, Grachan Moncur, Eric Dolphy, Ron Carter, Paul Chambers, Charlie Persip, Jimmy Cobb, and Wayne Shorter!

Is that wild or what? He must be incredibly proud of it...it isn't listed in the discography at his website!

I couldn't even find the LP through Google. What a hoot!

If I had more money I'd soon be broke...but I'd have more LPs!
