Home Vinyl Asylum

Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.

I bought such a pretty base for it a few years back..

This really great looking Metz flip top.. it's stained in this Dark Cherry color and looks so cool playing with the top in the open position. I should send you pics.. it's that sweet and such a cute li'l footprint.

Would be fab if i was into 78s or transcribing them to digital. The 1019 is a nice piece of industrial engineering.. as was the 1009F i replaced it with (worked like a Swiss watch).

I used to joke with my wife that one day it was going to be her little table.. so i'm really just fulfilling my promise ;-)
I have a decent Shure M91ED on it and really like using it. The auto-return is a nice luxury, really.

When we get her set up, upstairs (she is a jewelry designer), all i need to do is get her a nice iPod dock with mini to RCA for whatever little tube amp i will give her. Believe me, she likes our LPs a lot.. she'll start snagging a few for playtime upstairs before too long and on some nights we'll be spinning vinyl in two different rooms! Could be worse, right?

God, i hope it doesn't go into a closet for too long.. I could always sell it, right? ;-)
