Of the three bolts supporting the motor, one has a knurled finger-nut on it - this is the fine speed adjustment; it works by moving the belt up or down on the ever-so-slightly tapered platter (I think, pretty sure I read that here before).If it's waaaaaaay off, could it be a 50hz model running fast on 60hz AC? That's a wilda$$ guess; not sure if synchronous AC motors are paced to the line frequency or not.
